See the Northern Lights since you were a child; an Iceland holiday was probably on your wish list. The image of the aurora borealis is almost universally recognised. Like much of Iceland, it is a reminder of the excellent mystery of life on Earth, of how things just worked out for us to the point where we could safely inhabit the world.

Iceland is perched on the precipice of that fantastic balance of night and day, light and dark, summer and winter. The summer midnight sun and winter near-total darkness attest to the precariousness of this rhythm. Iceland’s harsh and unusual geography creates volatile black lava fields, raging volcanoes, and strangely calm glaciers. Vibes Group UK invites you to explore this volatile country in the safety and intimacy of a safe and intimately guided travel experience.

On a bespoke Iceland holiday with us, visit the Vatnajökull national park and witness the ongoing battle between the ice cap and the intense volcanic activity simmering beneath the surface. The famous Lake Myvatn can be found in Diamond Circle aptly, and explosive eruptions formed this tranquil lake. Dettifoss, a raging white waterfall, is the polar opposite. The show game of thrones has immortalised some of Iceland’s most miraculous sights, from the arrowhead-shaped Kirkjufell peak to the bubbling geothermal vents at Hverir to the Svnafellsjökull glacier tongue.

We believe that no trip is complete unless you learn more about the people, culture, and food. Iceland’s sparse population is concentrated primarily in and around the capital city of Reykjavik. In this solitary world, life is a warm huddle and a living reminder of a time of risky migrations. Explore the vibrant local drinking culture, sample the deliciously tender Icelandic langoustine, and visit quaint little villages where you can ride a horse and pretend to be a Viking.

Iceland, which runs almost entirely on clean energy, exemplifies the potential for more sustainable living. It takes a few minutes in a geothermal pool to realize that luxury isn’t just an artificial construct, and nature can provide it if we just let it.

Hi, there! I’m Helen, a writer for Vibes Group UK and an inbound content creator for the site journal. Every day is unique because I share my excitement for discovering new places with people who share my love of travel. My mind-blowing journey of learning lands anew has taken me along the untrodden ways, having grown up in a multi-cultural background and a country with endless serenity to explore. On the other hand, travel has shown me what is possible and how much work remains in combating vested interests, inequality, and environmental destruction. It’s hard to contain the buzz in the blood that comes from travelling or rising to a challenge, and you can’t always control yourself. Travel blogging is the perfect outlet to express my astonishment and bewilderment to the world. So, follow your heart, see what you can’t see, and leave a trail of Good vibes only!
