Looking to have an adventurous experience, but not so expensive and still enjoy a luxury getaway? In this case, I will be sharing my personal experience of visiting Prague and how Low Cost Vibes made all the bookings easy and how a mere weekend getaway turned into a hassle-free, memorable experience.

12 Incredible Things to Do in Prague

1. Start with a Royal Morning – A Prague Castle Tour

Exterior view of St. Vitus Cathedral within Prague Castle, featuring intricate Gothic spires and architecture, a must-visit landmark and one of the top things to do in Prague.

I kicked off my adventure with a Prague Castle tour. As I passed through the spires, I felt the history of the city marching along with me. It had sweeping views of the Vltava River and a glimpse of the Prague landmarks that made my first day memorable, and the grounds of the castle were listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

2. Explore the City’s Soul – Prague Tourist Attractions

View of the Vltava River with the historic Charles Bridge in Prague, under a clear sky — a classic and affordable thing to do in Prague for any visitor.

Next, I meandered through the Prague tourist attractions that form the heart of the city’s appeal. Every part, from the Astronomical Clock to the Charles Bridge, was talking about kings and poets. I had a very basic itinerary: I was planning to soak, take photographs, and allow the city to open up to me.

3. Delve into History – Prague Museums

Neo‑Renaissance National Museum building in Prague at the top of Wenceslas Square, a historic cultural landmark and one of the must‑see things to do in Prague.

The Prague museums were my next stop. The National Museum, mounted on Wenceslas Square, exhibited the shining face of Czech art and archaeological values. I also went to the Jewish Museum, which gave me a vivid sense of the varied history of Prague through a stratified story of endurance and recollection.

4. Serenity in Green – A Walk through Letna Park

Panoramic aerial view of Prague’s skyline from Letná Park, showcasing red rooftops, winding Vltava River, and green treetops — one of the scenic things to do in Prague.

A short skip to Letna Park was a green palette cleanser. One of the attractions that will allow you to enjoy without paying a penny is the panoramic view of the city skyline from the park. There was something modern about the roller coaster on the hill in the park, which I found absolutely amusing.

5. Sip and Savour – The Czech Dishes

Hands holding a freshly baked traditional chimney cake (trdelník) from a street food market in Prague, a tasty and budget‑friendly thing to do in Prague.

I simply could not help taking a culinary digression: a no-frills yet unforgettable lunch at a local food booth known as trdelnik. This was a sticky pastry that was sweet and had been accompanied by a glass of beer that had been brewed locally. It was a low-end luxury affair and as authentic as a Prague experience that is worth taking a second.

6. Ride a Shared Bicycle around the City

Two people cycling side by side along the banks of the Vltava River in Prague , a relaxed, budget‑friendly way to explore the city’s scenic riverside paths and enjoy one of the best things to do in Prague.

Ride a shared bicycle around the city. Renting a bike from a nearby shop turned the city. Riding along the Vltava, I discovered hidden corners like the small Cathedral of St. John the Baptist and its nearby free things to do in Prague, a serene courtyard that seemed untouched by time.

7. Watching a Sunset in St. Nicholas Church

Sunset view of St. Nicholas Church in Prague’s Lesser Town, showcasing its stunning Baroque architecture, ornate dome, and bell tower, a must-visit landmark and one of the memorable things to do in Prague.

It was more of a painting when I arrived at St. Nicholas Church to view the sunset. The bell tower made the Prague tourist spots even more enchanted as the lights of the city fluttered into life, and one found a very quiet place to think.

8. Find Artistic Flair – Nailpolish Street

Tourists looking at the colourful John Lennon Wall in Prague, covered in graffiti, Beatles lyrics, and peace messages, a meaningful and artistic thing to do in Prague that symbolizes freedom and expression.

The colourful murals of Náplasti Street and weird boutiques all turned out to be an art hunt by themselves. The decision to walk over purchasing was my ticket to a Prague itinerary that was affordable and a culturally enriching experience. I even encountered a street musician who was playing a traditional Czech lullaby in the house in general.

9. Discover the Bohemian Culture – Jazz in the Old Town

Live rock/jazz band performing on stage in a cozy Prague bar, capturing the vibrant music scene, one of the low‑cost things to do in Prague is to enjoy live tunes at an intimate venue.

One evening, I sneaked into a small jazz bar that is secreted in the Old Town. The live show provided an easy feel that was typical of the bohemian mood in the city. The modest entrance fee made it a must‑do free thing to do in Prague for music lovers.

10. Flirt with History – Czechoslovakian Memorial

The Czechoslovakian Memorial located on the territory of the castle of Prague is rather unimposing but devoid of emotion, a reminder of the struggles that were taking place in the 20th century. Strolling its grounds felt like walking through a timeline, a perfect addition to a Prague tourist attractions list that I’d recommend for history buffs.

11. Unwind On the River – A Soft Cruise

A small sightseeing boat cruising along the Vltava River in Prague, passing by historic riverside buildings and bridges, a relaxing thing to do in Prague.

The other view of the architecture of the city was seen on a small cruise on the Vltava. The boat navigated past the Prague landmarks and the Prague Castle silhouette, making the trip one of the most relaxing Prague activities for the evening.

12. Capture the Night – Photography by Night

Nighttime view of the Vltava River and Charles Bridge with Old Town Bridge Tower in Prague, aglow under city lights, a magical thing to do in Prague after sunset.

I did not leave my trip without closing it off with a night photography session. The lighted facades of the city and the Charles Bridge and the Old Town Hall were pure movie gold. My phone camera and some patience made me have memories that will be there forever.

These iconic landmarks, including Prague Castle, Charles Bridge, and the Old Town, are not only beautiful but also globally recognised: they’re part of the UNESCO World Heritage sites.

Affordable Tourist Travel with Uncomplicated Booking

I have been playing Low Cost Vibes all the way along, which made every experience effortless. I discovered that it was possible to spend a low cost on online bike rentals, free museum entry days, and so on, without compromising quality. The ease of booking due to Google search, several clicks with the help of a travel application, and the fact that the most iconic destinations of Prague are beautifully available without a huge cost made the process seamless.

What to see in Prague? The most interesting sights in the city are really shining when you combine the splendour of the Prague Castle with the simplicity of winding streets, bustling cafes and silent historic places. Whether you are a first-time visitor or an experienced traveller, this personal narrative will provide you with a balance between what you are obliged to see and what remains untold to anyone and is ideal for your future Prague itinerary.

FAQs About Things to Do in Prague

What are some things to do in Prague on a low budget?

Even though Prague is a reputable city in terms of the historical splendour, it is affordable to low-budget tourists due to a great number of free and low-cost activities like walking through the Old Town, free museums on some days, etc.

How will I book a hassle-free time in Prague?

Reserve a reputable travel programme or a web page that will offer package travels: flights, hotel and city passes. Local applications sometimes forfeit the latent costs that traditional agencies can fetch.

What are some free activities to do in Prague?

Absolutely. The doors of certain museums with a free monthly ticket and strolling along the beautiful streets, the Wenceslas as well as the Lennon Wall, make their demands of Prague and offer liberation with open hands.

So what should I see when organising sightseeing in Prague?

Plan to visit landmark attractions in a book at an early time of the day, before they are crowded. Take the city passes that are free or discounted and include the transport and most of the major attractions.

Should Prague be the destination of a low-end traveller?

Yes! It is observable that Prague remains one of the most readily accessible capitals in Europe with its array of free attractions, cheap restaurants and cheap hotels.
