Jet2 passengers are facing difficulties due to their replacement.
Flights to and from the Italian airport are being moved to a new place and it is 50 miles away. This change causes delays, cancellations, or other difficulties for Jet2 passengers.
Naples International Airport will be temporarily shut down. The reason behind is due to operational issues beyond Jet2 control. These changes will affect flight scheduled between October 27 and November 3. Flights will be operated at Salerno Costa d’amalfi airport. This airport is about an hour’s drive away from Naples.
In a statement titled ‘Naple’s flight changes’, Jet2 said: “Due to operational issues beyond our control at Naples Airport, between October 27 and November 3, 2024 inclusive, all our Naples flights will be operated to and from Salerno Costa d’Amalfi Airport.
“Just so you know, our booking and pre-departure systems, including Manage My Booking and any boarding passes, will still show flights at Naples Airport. Your flight number will stay the same.”
Between the UK and Naples from several UK airports, Jet2 operates flights including Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds, Glasgow and Edinburgh.
By offering more flights on this route, this could be more convenient for travelers to travel between the two countries (UK and Morocco).
Jet2 will offer flights to Morocco throughout the year. Flights will depart from six Airports. This will continue until (Winter) 2025/26.
The number of UK airports offering flights to Morocco will increase to eight from the summer) of 2026.
