The Danish capital is the kind of location where tourists should congregate, and it is deserving of all the excitement and attention it receives. Although the title of “World’s Happiest City” is deceiving, it is simple to make such a claim here. Exploring the city’s glamour and glam, culture and cuisine, coffee, and more are among the best things to do in Copenhagen.

Copenhagen is best to live in for its quality of life. It is a clean, beautiful city, one of Europe’s most attractive cities. The Danish capital’s unique approach to life attracts ten million tourists each year with its Nordic style, fashionable architecture, and award-winning gourmet cuisine.

The water is never far away in Copenhagen; it surrounds the entire capital, and you will only fully enjoy it if you take a river trip. It has been labelled the “Venice of North” by some.

The capital of Denmark has become the highly urbanised master of doing things correctly. It is known as the world’s happiest city. The food is fantastic, everyone cycles everywhere, and there is a sense of space that comes with living in an area where skyscrapers are minimum.

According to several studies, the Danish are the happiest people in the world. They pay some of the world’s highest taxes, yet their healthcare, transportation, and lives are made more accessible. It is impossible to discover someone who is not delighted about their circumstances.

Aside from being the world’s happiest city, Copenhagen boasts superb Danish food, a world-class transportation system, breath taking churches and museums, and even a hippie commune that draws visitors worldwide.

Is Copenhagen the most desirable city?

In their annual, acclaimed wallpaper Design awards, wallpaper magazine named Copenhagen the “World’s Best City”. It is a city that feels good, something you can’t say about many places these days on so many levels. The Danes have it right.

Copenhagen is widely considered a fairy tale city. Copenhagen is known for its canals, fine food, Tivoli Gardens, and the fact that it was once home to children’s novelist Hans Christian Andersen.

It is a joyful ending to a modern-day fairy tale; Copenhagen’s skyline is a beautiful blend of advanced modern architecture, canals, open spaces, tiny cobblestone alleys, old timbered buildings, ancient castles and palaces. Copenhagen is steeped in history, especially royal history.

The best time to visit Copenhagen is between March and May or June and August, depending on what you are searching for. While the summer brings the warmest weather and a slew of widespread, large-scale events, tourists looking for lower rates and fewer crowds can still enjoy the beautiful weather in the spring. Summer days are twenty-five hours long; joy and laughter float in here.

The Danes are an extremely open-minded, cultured and sophisticated people. They are excellent, trustworthy, and kind pals once you have had the opportunity to know them. Take a peek at Denmark’s history. How cool is that the first Vikings came from Denmark?

Some interesting facts to know about Copenhagen, Denmark.

It is the city that was made to be explored by a bicycle. Danes take riding bicycles very seriously, dedicating huge road sections to safe cycling. It is a safe and enjoyable way to tour Copenhagen by bicycle.

Taxis in Copenhagen have internet connectivity. Isn’t that amazing?

We will vote for any city with cabs with their Wi-Fi networks, making life considerably easier for vacationers arriving without phone coverage.

Danes are good at speaking English fluently. Unlike other nations where you must make an effort to communicate with locals in their tongue, most Danes speak English better than anyone!

Another fact, most airports are a nightmare to spend any time in, but the airport here is like a cross between a high-end shopping mall and the most sumptuous eateries in town. If anything, you would prefer to stay a bit longer!

There will never be a city that is cleaner than Copenhagen. Given Denmark’s focus on recycling and following rules, you will have to travel quite far in Copenhagen to find unclean streets.

Something is here for all the crazy coffee lovers; coffee is a strong beverage that people frequently drink at lunch, brunch, dinner and anytime else. They serve it alongside other sweets, mainly pastries, at the bar.

As a result, a five-minute pit stop for a quick coffee is common. Accuracy, not hurrying, and clean, straightforward processes are to make outstanding coffee.

Given the Danes’ ability in those areas, some of their coffee shops are excellent.

Have you heard about the little mermaid? Why is it so popular?

Hans Christian Andersen’s “The Little Mermaid” is a Danish literary fairy tale. The story follows a teenage mermaid eager to give up her life as a mermaid in exchange for a human soul.

After seeing a ballet based on the fairy tale at the Royal Danish Theatre in Copenhagen, Carl Jacobsen fell in love with the character.

The brewer took with the fairy tale and ballet that he commissioned a sculpture of the mermaid from sculptor Edvard Eriksen.

Luckily, tourists and locals will still be able to visit their favourite Danish sculptures in the city. The good news is that the heirs of legendary Little Mermaid artist Edvard Eriksen have been giving their duplicate of the monument to the Tivoli Gardens throughout the event.

The visit to the Little Mermaid is entirely free. It’s there in the city’s public area, so it’s visible all day and throughout the year.

The entire city displays the acute eye for design that the Danish have, and it is known as one of Europe’s design capitals. Copenhagen is defined by geometric shapes, rich materials, and a restricted but visually pleasing colour palette.

The solid aesthetic element that runs throughout the city is perfectly exemplified at Nyhavn. This visual appeal makes exploring and photographing the area a dream.

There are plenty of other reasons to visit Copenhagen! You should book your flights soon! Copenhagen is eagerly awaiting your arrival!
