Pyramids of Giza
The Pyramids of Giza are the last only surviving wonders of one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. It has fascinated visitors throughout history and is typically at the top of any visitors’ list of attractions in Egypt.
The Khufu, Khafra and Menkaura Pyramids comprise the Pyramids of Giza, which are the epitome of Egyptian pyramid architecture. All three pyramids have the names of the monarchs who constructed them, and Khufu Pyramid is the largest and best preserved of all. In order to protect the artefacts and for visitor safety, only the lower layers are allowed to climb. Additionally, visitors are not permitted to take pictures inside the pyramid.
Learn To Make Papyrus
The invention of paper was one of the greatest accomplishments of Egyptian civilisation. Egyptians specifically used pulp from the papyrus tree, which still thrives along the Nile, to produce writing materials. At the Papyrus Institute in Giza (where the Pyramids are), visitors are enchanted with a demo of how early Egyptians made paper. Interestingly, papyrus is one of the famed things to buy while in Egypt, and you can easily get a hold of papyrus souvenirs here to cherish your Egypt holiday!
Sunset Camel Riding
The Giza pyramids inspire awe, which is why riding into the sunset at Giza is in every list of things to do in Egypt. Hire a horse or camel for one, two, or even four-hour rides in the sand that swamps the pyramids from one side. During sunset, travellers can feast one’s eyes on the pyramids and golden sands in a rare light in the whole of Egypt.
Fun at Hurghada
Along Egypt’s Red Sea coast, Hurghada is a beach resort city that stretches for around 40 kilometres. It is a famous destination for scuba diving, and the contemporary Sekalla neighbourhood is home to several dive shops and schools. There are several restaurants, cafes, and nightclubs in Hurghada, while the ancient town, El Dahar, is home to authentic Egyptian coffee shops and souks. Hotels and resorts border the expansive sandy beach at Hurghada.
Get a taste of Koshari
The national dish of Egypt, Koshari, is also famous as Kushari. Koshari, prepared with spaghetti, a fiery tomato sauce, and crunchy onions, is a well-liked Egyptian street food. It is a hearty bowl of simple pantry staples, including spiced rice, lentils, chickpeas and small pasta. All are covered in a tomato sauce that has been laced with vinegar. Delicious! One of my favourite foods ever! No matter how far I’ve been, I’ll never get tired of the amazing bowl of koshari from the streets of Egypt!
Shopping in Cairo
City Star Mall is one of Cairo‘s biggest and most up-to-date shopping malls. It spans a sizable space with a stylish aesthetic. It has a large number of stores that sell clothing, accessories, electrical appliances, gifts, and a variety of other goods, including fashion, gifts, and accessories. Several restaurants and cafés (whose local selections are the tastiest.) are also featured in this mesmerising shopping mall. Wander the long hallways flanked by stores and breathe in the vibrant scene!
Desert Camping
Without a doubt, camping in Egypt’s Western Desert is a must-do. The Western Desert is vast (two-thirds of the nation), and the arid remoteness will make you feel as if you are on the edge of the planet. one of the main attractions in the Western Desert is the White/Black Deserts, Massive white chalk formations (Egypt’s most impressive natural wonders) in the White Desert make it unique among campers. The black coating of volcanic material concentrated on top of the yellow dunes gives rise to the moniker “Black Desert.” Pitch up your tents and spend a night of tranquillity!
